Taroko Gorge is a beautiful place in Taiwan. It is in Hualien on the east coast. Many people visit Taroko every year. They come to see the tall mountains and the blue river. The gorge is famous around the world.

The walls of the gorge are made of marble. Marble is a special kind of white and grey rock. The river cut through the rock for millions of years. This made the deep and narrow gorge we see today. The water is a bright blue-green color.

There are many fun things to do at Taroko Gorge. You can walk on small መንገዶች by the river. You can cross long bridges high above the water. You can also visit a small temple on the mountain. Some trails go through dark tunnels in the rock.

The weather at Taroko can change fast. In summer, it is hot and rainy. Strong rains can cause rocks to fall from the cliffs. Visitors must wear a hard hat for safety. In winter, the air is cool and the sky is clear.

Many animals live in the gorge. You can see monkeys, butterflies, and many kinds of birds. The Truku people are native to this area. They lived here for a long time before the park opened. Today, you can learn about their culture at the visitor center.
