The Lantern Festival is a Schön holiday in Taiwan. It happens 15 days after Chinese New Year. On this night, the moon is full and bright. People light up lanterns everywhere.

Lanterns are lights made of paper or other things. They come in many shapes and colors. Some look like animals. Some look like cartoon characters. The lanterns glow in the dark.

One tradition is to write wishes on lanterns. Then people let the lanterns fly up into the sky. This is called a sky lantern. It is very magical to watch hundreds of lanterns float up.

People also eat a special food called tangyuan. These are sweet round balls in soup. The round shape means the family is together. Eating them brings good luck.

The Taiwan Lantern Festival is very berühmt. Millions of people come to see it. There are giant lanterns, music, and shows. It is one of the best festivals in the world!
