It&#8217;s a hidden-role social deduction game that generates <em>authentic<\/em> English communication \u2014 debate, persuasion, accusation, defence, negotiation \u2014 all in one activity.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Is Werewolf?<\/h2><figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Linguish ESL Games \/\/ Werewolf \/\/ LT184\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vWSM_xosAVE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Players are secretly assigned roles \u2014 most are Villagers, but a few are Werewolves. The game alternates between Night (Werewolves secretly eliminate a Villager) and Day (the whole village debates and votes to eliminate a suspect). Werewolves win by matching the Villager count.
