Taiwan has many hot springs. Hot springs are pools of warm water from the ground. The water is heated by rocks deep in the earth. Many people visit hot springs to relax.

The hot water is good for your body. It can help your muscles feel better. It can also make your skin soft. Some people say hot springs help them sleep well.

Taiwan has different kinds of hot springs. Some water is clear. Some has minerals that are white or brown. Some hot springs smell like eggs! This is because of a gas called sulfur.

Beitou is a famous hot spring area near Taipei. It has a hot spring museum and many pools. You can take a bus or MRT to get there. It is very popular with visitors.

When you visit a hot spring, you should follow the rules. Take a shower first to get clean. Don’t stay in too long because the water is very hot. Hot springs are a special part of Taiwan!
