Taiwan has different kinds of hot springs. Some water is clear. Some has mineral that are white or brown. Some hot springs smell like eggs! This is because of a gas called sulfur.

Beitou is a terkenal hot spring area near Taipei. It has a hot spring museum and many pools. You can take a bus or MRT to get there. It is very popular with pelawat.

When you visit a hot spring, you should follow the rules. Take a shower first to get clean. Don’t stay in too long because the water is very hot. Hot springs are a special part of Taiwan!
