The Lantern Festival is a beautiful<\/strong> holiday in Taiwan. It happens 15 days after Chinese New Year. On this night, the moon is full and bright<\/strong>. People light up lanterns everywhere.<\/p>\n

Lanterns<\/strong> are lights made of paper or other things. They come in many shapes and colors. Some look like animals. Some look like cartoon<\/strong> characters. The lanterns glow in the dark.<\/p>\n

One tradition<\/strong> is to write wishes on lanterns. Then people let the lanterns fly up into the sky. This is called a sky lantern. It is very magical<\/strong> to watch hundreds of lanterns float up.<\/p>\n

People also eat a special food called tangyuan. These are sweet round<\/strong> balls in soup. The round shape means the family is together<\/strong>. Eating them brings good luck.<\/p>\n

The Taiwan Lantern Festival is very famous<\/strong>. Millions of people come to see it. There are giant lanterns, music, and shows. It is one of the best festivals in the world!<\/p>\n
