A typhoon is a very big storm. It has strong wind and heavy rain. Typhoons form over the warm ocean. When they get bigger, they can come to Taiwan. Taiwan gets many typhoons each year.

Typhoon season is from June to October. During this time, Taiwan must be prepared. The government tells people when a typhoon is coming. Schools and offices may close for ความปลอดภัย.

Typhoons can be dangerous. The wind can break trees and signs. Heavy rain can cause flooding. Rivers fill up with water. Sometimes the water goes into houses and streets.

People buy extra food and water before a typhoon. They stay inside their homes. They close all windows and doors. It is important to stay ปลอดภัย and not go outside.

After the typhoon passes, the sun comes out again. People clean up the streets. Taiwan is strong and always recovers. Typhoons are part of life in Taiwan!
