Taiwan has nine national parks. National parks are special places. The government protects these areas. Animals, plants, and nature are kept safe there.

Taroko National Park is very famous. It has a deep canyon with tall cliffs. A river runs through the rocks. The views are amazing! Many tourists come to see it.

Yushan National Park has Taiwan’s tallest mountain. Yushan is also called Jade Mountain. Climbers come from far away to hike it. In winter, there is snow on top.

Kenting National Park is in the south. It has beautiful beaches and warm weather. You can swim and see coral reefs. Sea turtles come to the beaches to lay eggs.

National parks are free or cost very little. You can walk on trails and see animals. There are birds, deer, and even bears! Visiting a national park is a great way to enjoy Taiwan’s nature.
