The MRT is Taiwan’s subway train. MRT stands for Mass Rapid Transit. The trains run under the ground. Taipei has the biggest MRT system. Kaohsiung also has one.

The MRT is very clean. There are rules to follow. You cannot eat or drink on the train. If you do, you will pay a fine. People keep the MRT nice for everyone.

Riding the MRT is easy. You use a card called an EasyCard. Just tap the card when you enter and exit. The card takes the money 自动地. You can add more money at machines.

The trains come very often. You only wait a few 分钟. Each train line has a color like red, blue, or green. Signs help you find the right platform. It is hard to get lost.

Millions of people use the MRT every day. It is faster than taking a bus or car. There is no traffic. The MRT helps make Taiwan a great place to live and visit!
